We have postponed our vacation to the Occidental due to therenovations. Do you think it will be up and running completely by September? Also, I was wondering if the casino is open now. I know people are staying there now eventhough everything is not complete.

We have a message board for stuff on the Occidental. To answer your questions, yes, they will be up and running by September and no the casino is not currently open.

I have a timeshare there and they have assured us that it will be opened mid April.

Hope so as we are due there on 12th June for a couple of weeks.

i also have chosen another vacation spot this april due to the renovations. i'm so disappointed, but i'd rather go when they are fully operational.

I'm going in Aug for 2 wks and I dont have a single concern.... ease up relax it will be great
