My son 2 years old got sick. WE went to EMT room at playa linda. Actually he came to us at the hut, and called the Doctor for us. Doctor came andsaw my son, slight ear infection..Cost $100 I thought it was reasonable, but gave 3 prescriptions for $27.00 (antibiotics, drops, nasal spary) Just shows how the States marks it up. But the Doctor was awesome niciest guy and made us feel good about seeing him and told us to call him if we needed anyrhing else. Highly recommend it if you need it.
Also needed to get up at 5:15 or so to get hut...

We have had excellent experiences with all medical staff on the island over the years.

We took our child to the emergency room. The visit was $25.00 and the medication was another $25.00. I swear I would rather get sick there than here - a lot cheaper. At our hotel the doctor didn't make a house call - just diagnosed the first time over the phone.

Cant say enough great things about the hospital and their staff. I went to Emergency Rm.@ Hospital...got orthopedic doctor to come in from his home...took x-rays etc...got to bring Xrays home to state for my Dr. and with pain meds...It cost be $50.00 total..one of my employee's- cut hs finger (bad)..went to emergency room...no xrays- bandage- pain pills...$697.00 here in the States...why are our hospitals closing-can't be lack of $$$...

My husband had anaphylactic reaction at 1AM. Security guard from Amsterdam Manor stayed with us until Taxi arrived and took us to ER. Staff was excellent. Total cost $125., which Aetna reimbursed when we got home.

AS A FAMILY ONE OF US SEEMS TO ALWAYS END UP AT THE HOSPITAL, EXCELLENT MEDICAL STAFF. THE CHILDRENS DOCTOR WAS GREAT. PRICES ARE REASONABLE COMPARED TO US.

it's a wise idea to find out if your health insurance has you covered oversea (aruba). in some cases they don't or they require you to pay cost 1st then file paperwork for reimmbursement when you get back to the states. also very wise to notify insurance company that you will be traveling and the dates that you are.
