We have had the same experience and chalk it up to all the sun and fresh sea air.

Not us. I still snore, but not as much.

It has to do with Aruba's proximity to the equator and the shift in gravitational pull. As the earth is wider nearer the equator, the gravitational pull is less so the effects of gravity on your throat are less - thus less snoring.

How was that? Did it sound believable?

LOL If only you could have worked in the wild dolphins sonar and how it affects the resting nasal cavity of horizontal mammals!!

Add me to the list. Here at home I snore like a chainsaw running on its last legs. In Aruba apparently its maybe 10% as loud.

I absolutely chalk it up to the amazing salt air and the constant breeze. This was the first summer in 7 years we were able to get to Aruba. I've had a "summer cold" on & off for weeks. I'm positive it is due to the lack of being in that ocean for 2 weeks mid summer.

Or maybe it's just not visiting Aruba that has me literally SICK!

I have crazy allergies, have had 2 sinus surgeries and mostly sleep with my mouth open. When allergy season is really bad here I also loose my sense of smell to a pretty high degree....
Within 2 days of getting to Aruba....sense of smell returns, breathing is better (asthma as well), no snoring or mouth breathing.
I am positive it is due to the saltwater and sea breeze...no question......now, can I convince my Dh I have to move to island for health reasons !!!???
    ARUBA....HOME AWAY FROM HOME
