Welcome to the board and congratulations on your marriage!

You've picked the perfect island for your honeymoon.

At which Marriott will you be staying? My family and I have stayed at the Stellaris many times and love it. There's also the time shares next to the Stellaris and the Renaissance downtown.

welcome to the aruba.com community forum!
congratulations to you and your soulmate.

marriott.....i have to assume that it is the "main" marriott, the stellaris at the end of palm beach.
a very pretty and busy resort.
renovated completely about 18 mos ago.

the beach is shallow and typically there are little waves.
quite congested at times in the area.

packing....bathing suits, sun block, shorts, shirts, women- maybe a sun dress or 2, men- golf style shirts and docker shorts, sandals.

most people tend to overpack....especially things like shoes.

what to pack...
click above link
enjoy and safe travels.

You'll love any "Marriott," I have stayed at all three. My favorite, however, is the "Ocean Club," but that is just a personal preference; as I said, all three are excellent; the service staff are warm and friendly; and you will just enjoy "Aruba," aka "One Happy Island," which it definitely will prove correct.

Have a happy honeymoon; and congratulations.

I have stayed at both the Ocean & Surf Clubs for a vacation and on my honeymoon and really loved them both. So if you are staying at either one, I am sure you will be happy. The staff is so friendly and very quick if you call down for say more towels or whatnot. They were also very competent during a storm, which says alot. I hope you enjoy your trip! And congratulations!

Thank you!!!!
We are staying on the Tradewinds floor at the resort n casino...so excited to get on plane tomorrow!!!
We were going to stay at Bucuti but everyone, including travel agent (my moms friend) said we'd be happier at Marriot...
Is it typically crowded this time if year???
It's the middle if summer here in northeast so I know not many people leaving here for warmer climate but was curious just the same...
Thank you for the restaurant link...made reservations at Madame Janette, el gaucho, yemanja, gianni, and flying fishbone...
Just now worried about overcrowded beach...should I be concerned??

yes the beach is crowded but not unmanageable.

i am shocked that you were steered away from bucuti.
imo that place is the "gem" for honeymooners with the widest stretch of beach on island.

but, you will love the marriott.

enjoy and safe and fun travels.

We stayed at the Marriott Stellaris four or five years ago in early August, and it was great time of year to be there. There were lots of people, but it wasn't overly crowded. We had no problems reserving a palapa or finding pool lounges. Since you'll be on the Tradewinds' club floor, and have the reserved beach area, I would think it would be even easier.

We've stayed at three different resorts in Aruba (Marriott Stellaris, Concorde & Wyndham but now it's Westin, and Hyatt), and my husband and think the Marriott has the most beautiful and spacious rooms of the three. You're going to love it!
