    Packing

Its time for me to start packing for my trip next Saturday. Yea!!!

I'm going to try really hard not to overpack. You think I would know better by now but I end up taking too many clothes. I think a few shorts, 2 bathing suits, polo shirts etc and maybe 1 pair of long pants for a fancy restuarant.

a good looking pair of docker shorts will suffice for restaurants.

I agree with the long pants. I know I'm in the minority, but I feel more comfortable wearing slacks and a nice shirt at an upscale restaurant.

I'm a chronic over-packer. My husband's theory on pants is - if I have to wear pants we aren't going there.
Not sure when, but we will be back

I don't know of anyplace in Aruba that requires long pants for men. I wear them because I feel more comfortable with a certain level of dress for fine restaurants.

My feeling is, whatever your comfortable in then great. When we went to Windows I remember thinking we were underdressed but as more people came in many were in shorts. For my husband, it's just too hot to wear long pants. I believe the RIU requires long pants at their restaurant.

I have a pair of womens black wide legged knit lounge pants that I do wear at places that I know have strong air conditioning; and I hate sticking to chairs and benches in restaurants.
