I am heading to Aruba on Sunday. I won't even think of packing until about Friday. ;-)

I normally leave my packing for the night before, on my second trip to Aruba in August of 2012 I left my packing till about two hours before I was to leave the house. What happened was I could not locate my suitcase, but I had all my clothes and toiletries already arranged on my bed. Finally managed to locate my suitcase and pretty much tossed everything into it, much to my surprise it was relatively light. Looking forward to the day when I can cram everything into a travel bag that I can take onto the aircraft with me, when you have to connect there is that concern about your luggage not making it onto your connecting flight with you. Hope that all goes well with your trip, be sure to keep us in the loop.

We usually pack a day or maybe 2 before but we both have crazy days at work ttying to get ready to leave so we wanted to be able to relax after work.
I'm kind of crazy about packing, trying to be strategic in case a checked by is lost or delayed. Plus this time with switching hotels I really didn't want to have to touch our bigger bag until we are settled for the full week.

Exactly what we tried to do last year. Left the big bags closed and only used what we had in carryons. Almost worked too!

Safe travels Tracey. may you and your husband have a great time with many happy memories to bring back.
Don't forget to try a "food truck" if you're at Eagle beach.
Again once you leave your house ... leave all the unimportant stuff there.... work, stress, and etc. Just take the "I am finally going to Aruba"

I'm about to start packing as we are also arriving on Saturday for our first Aruba trip. Going to attempt to do 2 carry-ons. We don't really bring much for one week. I always used to overpack and have learned to trim it down to bare essentials. We'll see how it goes. Weather doesn't look very promising for the entire week. Rain?
