Paperwork Needed?

Is there any special paperwork that needs to be done prior to visiting Aruba from the United States? I know I need a passport, but I read somewhere that you need to show your return ticket, and where you are staying etc.

We have only had to show passport. Actually when we first stated going there many years ago I think they asked for all that.

When you are enroute- the flight people will give you paperwork to fill out which you turn in and keep the other portion for your return flight.

This is the form where you will also list where you are staying on the island.

Send a message via Skype™ to Andrea J.
you will fill out an immigration card on the plane on the way to aruba.
once at immigration hall, you will then pass the passport and the immigration information card to the officer.

it is a 45 second process and is painless.

your passport number and all pertinent informaton go on the immigration form including your date of departure and flight numbers.

any idea what happens if you lose that paper that you turn in when you check in for your return flight? do you get to stay in Aruba?
(serious question though- do you get a fine?)

Immigration tucks it into your passport, so just don't lose your passport. That would actually be a bigger problem for you.

You can contact DIMAS Email: dimas@aruba.gov.aw to ask.

...and make sure the passport is in your safe at all times. If you feel more comfortable having it as a form of I.D., make a photo copy. Someone also recently gave me an excellent suggestion. EMAIL that photo copy to yourself. This way if your passport is lost or stolen, you are able to easily go into your email account, retrieve the record, have the passport cancelled and an new passport issued.

We had to stand there when we left and fill out another one. Found it later while inside the terminal.

There is now a card to fill out for the US when you leave Aruba. You are also given this card on your flight to Aruba.

if you are returning on a different airline you have to present documentation for the return at check-in
