    Phone rental opinions needed

Hello all ~ will be arriving in Aruba Sept 18th to celebrate our 20th anniversary and super excited!!
My kids will be staying home with Grandpa (my dad) and I wanted to come up with a plan so we could communicate a little while we are there.
I researched different options, and came across aruba fast phone rental and aruba discount cell. Trying to decide which one (both look good), and wanted to make sure I understand it. It seems sraight forward, no hidden costs, etc. Can people that are familiar with this give me feedback on it ~ or anyone who has an opinion/advice ~ anything is much appreciated!!
Oh, and also, is Charles still with the fast phone company?? I saw him right on this forum so maybe he can even answer!!
    Thanks!

    both are good companies
straight forward and no hidden charges

charles should be able to answer the phone question about his ownership.

we have an aruba cell phone, but last summer 2011 we had guest with us and rented a cell from charles for our guests

i usually rent from Trees at Aruba Discount Cell. She comes to where you are staying, drops the phone off and picks it up when you tell her to. no problems. I only get a basic phone to call and check on my animals...

Thanks very much ~ certailnly appreciated! Has anybody ever tried renting the blackberry? (I think I prefer just a regular phone for basic calls back home, but my husband wants to have the capability of checking work email) If the Radisson has internet access included, then he will just bring his laptop)
    Thanks again!

currently the radisson has wired internet in the rooms

and a poster recently said they were switching to wifi in the rooms
Radisson getting free WiFi in all rooms
click above link for wifi at radisson info

if your husband has skype on his laptop, it is more economical to go that route than renting a phone.

Thanks Andrea! If the radisson does have Wifi in the rooms, do you think there is an additonal charge to use it?? Maybe I should call the Radisson and ask. Thanks for your help ~ you have always been great about responding to my posts (and everyone else's too for that matter)!!

There was no charge for wired internet at the Radisson in July... and I would anticipate that there would be no charge for wifi in the rooms when they get to it.
