Planning our 3rd Trip - What Month??
We love Aruba so much that we are now planning on going a 3rd time!! We were there the last week of September first days of October & was surpsired at all the rain!! 2 excursions were cancelled - we still had the best time ever.
So - when is the best time to go to Aruba?? We want to avoid children & large crowds. We will stay at the Surf Club again - it is just fabulous in my opinion!! Thanks so much!! |

Keep in mind the weather you experienced was NOT NORMAL or typical for Aruba. Just about every single person on this forum would vouch for that.
Having said that, if you do not wish to risk a repeat during hurricane season (remember the rain you experienced was just as much to blame on La Nina), perhaps try a quiet month such as May before the kids are out of school. May on "average" has a third of the amount of rainfall that September does and five times less rain than October. Keeping mind that under NORMAL circumstances the rain falls in the form of showers and overnight. The biggest change you will notice will be that it will be windier than September.May weather Average high temperature 89 F. Average low temperature 79 F. Average temperature 83 F. Average water temperature 81 F. Average wind speed 19 mph Average maximum wind speed 35 mph Average rainfall .55 inches (20.3 inches annual) Let's all hope by late spring La Nina is a bad memory. ![]() Weather

For peace and quiet I would personally stick with the beginning of May.

Our best trip there was in May also, weather wise. Just avoid Memorial Day at all costs. Go in the very beginning of May if you can. We went Memorial Day, and the weather was amazing there were kids every where!

my husband says 11 days is perfect.
i say 2 weeks is perfect. the only reason we get itchy to come home is because we miss the dog and cats. (disclosure our son and his wife are in maine and we always miss them) |
