Police in Hi Rise Area

I read where the police have been patroling the hi-rise area. Does anyone know if they are still doing it? We usually walk from the Holiday Inn down Palm Beach in the early evening, and walk back when it's dark. Not real late, but 11 or 11:30. I'm a little nervous now after reading about recent robberies. Perhaps we should walk on the street side of the hotels, or take a taxi back.

i do know that the police have been high visibility as of late.
but why chance anything?
keeping yourself safe no matter where youu are is high priority.
do what you feel most comfortable with.

Yes, you are right. We did so like the walk back and have always felt safe, but times are changing I guess, everywhere.

Do not walk in unlit areas at night. I wouldn't do it home either.
