    Preparations!

With less than 3 weeks to go, I am consumed with preparations for the upcoming trip! Bought some new cargo shorts and found Pacific Legend Hawaiian 100% cotton shirts on Amazon.... so I gotta order a couple of those. All the shorts are laid out, and my shirts are all at one end of the closet and the suitcase is at the ready! Three swim suits, 2 pair of 'formal' flip flops and my beach flip flops are in the closet on top of my overnight bag! No socks and no long pants for Aruba! The four novels I'm bringing are ready to shove into the suitcase. My shaving kit is all set with my rationed meds and spare glasses and supplies! The trip is paid for and the documents from Player's Choice are on the kitchen counter with our passports! One of the women DW works with will stay at the house and 'pug sit' for the two of them and keep them loved. Monte is all set to provide the round trip ride to the airport. Still gotta narrow down the restaurant choices and what nights and make reservations.... the only 2 for certain are Mme J's and Barefoot.... not sure what nights for those! My play money for the casino is sitting in the bank...... and I still gotta call the bank and Visa to let them know I'll be using cards in Aruba! Whew...!

I have 6 days and I am less prepared than you! Good for you. One thing I am definitely bringing this time that I haven't before is an extra pair of contacts. On my honeymoon I lost them in the pool at the Costa Linda and still had 2 days left! I am blind as a bat. Never again will I be unprepared

Oh, the anticipation must feel like Christmas!

What I do before traveling: start my lists. lol
Like: Things to do before I leave: pay all the bills in advance, make sure there is enough food/meds for the DH and the pooches, have emergency phone number ready for the veterinarian, how to reach me on my cell or rental cell etc.

Then all the little things what to take:
Like sun cream, sun glasses, hat, gifts for special friends, address book if I need to write or phone someone at home or how to reach my friends in Aruba, even a link how to log on to a forum

    etc etc.....

When I'm getting too "excited/nervous", I always calm myself by saying:

There are actually only three things to take which are a MUST:

    - Passport
    - Ticket
    - Money

    Have fun!

I'm getting excited for you CP!!! I am very impressed with your organizational skills, way to go! I may have to check out those tropical shirts on Amazon for my hubby, happy countdowning to your last few weeks, you will be there before you know it and hopefully once you are time will go by nice and slow for you while you sip on your delicioius Brights, yum, yum

Brenda, don't forget the tropical shirts at the Divi. One of the vendors that comes in on Tuesdays and Thursdays always has Hawaiian shirts. I've purchased quite a few and they wash up nice. DH prefers them because they are cooler. For $15 you can't go wrong.

Almost forgot, one thing I do is write our passport information (in large writing)on an index card. I keep it in my carryon so that when we have to fill out the customs card on the plane, I don't have to pull out the passports and the numbers are easier to read.

And...... I already have all the emergency contact information in the new passport.... you know, the passport with the picture of the old guy I don't recognize!
