    A pretty nice "craft" souvenir

Here is a very doable Aruba souvenir that you can make yourself.
Even I could do this...I think.

I think that i would white stain and then distress the frame.
    Giving it a cottage-like look.

(Michaels has a great assortment of shadow boxes)

Do any of you have an "Aruba room" with Aruba crafts/art and or souvenirs?

We have a "Tiki Bar" in the back yard with our Aruba souvenirs. The shadow box idea is nice, but probably wouldn't work in that setting.

That is a nice idea. Maybe DW will want to make one.

We have Aruba stuff scattered around the house. Some painted tin iguanas, framed prints of the natural bridge and the 'Aruba Tree', a couple of painted fish, and a laser etched piece of leather on a plaque.

Very nice and crafty. Something I can do with my "customers/residents" at work... some are up at night and this will be great for them.

Love this idea. I do have our sand ceremony frame with Eagle Beach sand from our vow renewal A pretty nice "craft" souvenir-sand.jpg

This goes along with the "craft" thread, but if it should be its own thread that's fine.

I saw another idea where you simply get a clay pot, fill it with sand (or put a lightweight filler 2/3 full and sand on top of it so it's not so heavy), lay shells you've collected on the sand and put a glass or plexiglass top on it to make a table.
