Re: proof of finances

What does this pertain to? Are you buying a time share or something? You certainly don't have to have this just to take a vacation in Aruba.

Re: proof of finances

if you are buying a home in Aruba, not just to vacation there, all you will need is a valid drivers liscence, birth certificate with a raised seal,as of Dec31,05 you will need a passport, hope this helps.

Re: proof of finances

Unless you are planning on purchasing a home
and living there or staying longer than the
allowed visitor days you don't need to worry
about a bank statement of financial statements.

Re: proof of finances

Yes, my understanding is that Proof of finances is now required to enter Aruba.

Too many people were trying to stay on the island as vagrants.

I had to show my tax return and latest bank statement and have them certified.

This is the first time that I have heard of this. Sid when did you go to Aruba? I have friends that left on Sunday and they did not need any papers.

Re: proof of finances

WHAT?!! I'm leaving on Friday and this is the first of heard of this. I don't travel with those types of documents (as I presume many people do not) and I'm not particularly allured with the thought of having that information so readily available for identity theft!

I think I'll do some more searching on these boards as I can't imagine having to carry financial statements to take a vacation!
