    Pullmantur cruiseships :)

From Tourism and Labor Minister Otmar Oduber

It was a historic moment, as Aruba signed with Pullmantur for 2 years, with a total of 48 cruiseships for the period of 2013-2014.
This achievement will contribute enormously to the further development of our tourism industry, especially during the low season, where more than 100,000 additional cruise visitors will visit during 2013.
From November 2012 to April 2013 a total of 18 cruiseships will visit Aruba, from which over 92% has been sold. For the period of April 2013 through April 2014, a total of 48 cruiseships will visit Aruba, from which 26 will be during the low season. On top of this achievement of increase in cruise calls, Pullmantur will use Aruba as homeport where passengers can embark and disembark in Aruba.
Congratulations goes to the Government of Aruba, ATA and APA who has been working as a team to realize this historic accomplishment, by this means eliminating the low season effect for the cruise visitors for the years 2013 and 2014.
    Pabien Aruba!

    For information purposes....

Pullmantur is a Spanish cruise line, though owned by Royal Caribbean, sailing 20+ year old "smaller ships" (approx. 75K GT - 42K GT), ships catering to Spaniards and other Europeans.

Manhattan Island started quietly! u/25 square miles!

Aruba has a long way to go with a bit u/75 square miles before it's 'standing room only!'
