She met me at the airport with "Toby", a 10 week old puppy, and went over all the information and processes that were involved in the transport. After checking in, Kathy took Toby for one last walk around the little park before entering the departure terminal. Going through security and customs was a breeze with just one extra stop at the US Agricultural area so Toby and I could be screened. I had been to the Donkey Sanctuary during my stay so they had me wiping my feet on a mat( for reasons I don't know and should have asked). The officer checked Toby's Vet papers and then it was off to drop my luggage off and head to the gate. Toby was a big hit while waiting for the flight and everyone fell in love with him. It was a smooth flight home. Toby slept almost the entire way. I think I was more nervous than he was. Once we arrive in Boston, I met Kathy's husband and reluctantly handed off Toby. I would encourage anyone flying back to the states to think about transporting one of these beautiful animals. It only takes a few extra minutes during the departure process. Kathy, I thank you for all you have done for these animals. It was a pleasure to meet you in Aruba and your husband in Boston and I hope Toby finds a great home. Next time I am in Aruba I will be giving you a call to do it all over again.

Thanks John for volunteering to transport Toby. Glad it was a positive experience. Friday we are transporting 6 more puppies. We couldn't do it without you and other wonderful animal lovers.
Toby is still with his foster mom. If anyone interested in adopting, please send me a pm.

this is a pup that kathy delivered to a "transporter" today at the airport.

(disclosure....i cropped kathy out of the photo because it is NOT a good picture of her at all)

kathy (aka sugar on this forum,) has put her heart and soul into this mission.
without this help, many of these poor beasts would be either dead or on the streets.

what kathy, and stella and all of the other cat and dog activists do to help these animals is wonderful and inspiring and i am honored to know these people and call them my friends. it is a privilege and an honor.

anyway, the photo is of one of the pups rescued in mid august, fostered by kathy and/or her neighbors and now on its way to the land of the never ending dog biskits and fire hydrants.

this should have been one of the first photos posted.
Carriers lined up at Kathy's house ready to transport the beautiful puppies to their forever homes. It looks like a nursery at the hospital.

    Puppies

This puppy has been adopted by Arlene in Pennsylvania. Tabatha remaned Tanzi has an Aruban sister, Yessy, adopted 2 years ago by Arlene. They love each other. Tanzi is doing great. At first she was frightened by the whinning of the horses, but her mom says that she is now just curious about these hugh "dogs".

    here is one of 3.
    a female.
    she is calling YOUR name.

contact member SUGAR or BillStellaR or me by private message.

my husband's first thought 4 yrs ago when we were involved in Bambi/Ben's adoption was the transition to cold New England weather.

    2 words = non issue.

this one seems to be calling my name, but here in the deed restricted community where we live there is a restriction on pets.
    50lbs max

no matter how i do the math.......
belle the 7 yr old cockapoo is 22 lbs
middy the 7 yr old cat is 10 lbs
tobey the 14 mo old cat is 16 lbs

so, bottom line is i can only get a 2 lb dog.

please pass the photos to your friends and family members.
