Hi everyone....OK I have a question....do we buy our alcohol at the Aruba Airport BEFORE we hit our hotel or bring it? Can you only buy it on the way home to save the $$$ I'm asking because I need to get some while I'm there to use during my stay as well as some to bring home. Also, how much can we bring home without tax?

Each person can bring to Aruba 1 bottle and each person can take 2 bottles out of Aruba along with 2 cartons of cigs.

Ok but is it best to buy in here in the states before so we can use it there or buy it there when we arrive? Which is less expensive?

The problem with trying to buy when you arrive is that the kiosks are not open all of the time. When you leave the Duty-Free shops have longer hours. A couple of times we have not been able to buy upon arrival because the kiosk was closed. Bring at least 1 bottle.

Ok...but if we arrive and they are open can we buy "duty free" at the airport then????

We buy at the duty free shop at our departure airport because as stated the kiosk at the airport in Aruba has no set schedule. If they are open when you arrive, buy some more.

Is it legal to pack liquor in your suitcase and bring it into Aruba?

somewhere on the bb someone said they bring their own favorite wine. If we bring wine can we still bring vodka. Is a bottle a bottle? One each no matter what it is?

I dont think you can buy alcohol at Arubas airport discount duty free shops if you are coming into Aruba. Isnt it only when you are departing?
