Re: Questions about Aruba

Let's see. Beach, Sun, Snorkel, RELAX. Try Tranquillo.com. Great Snorkel Trip. May want to take 4X4 Jeep trip on Island. Several available. Check various Aruba websites or Marriott Activity Desk when you arrive. Many great restaurants.

Re: Questions about Aruba

Was there 2 years ago, and will be back in 5 days. 3/10-3/17. The place as well as Aruba is great. If you found this message board, just look at the different topics, you will find plenty of info!

Re: Questions about Aruba

Hopefully, you will rent a car. There are so many options; it depends on what you like to do. Snorkeling is great, visit the butterfly farm if that interests you, lounging around the pool is nice, there are fantastic restaurants all over the place, so you will eat well.

Re: Questions about Aruba

If you rent a vehicle you must do the coast..
It has such a diversified adventure for you. From tropical to desert. You must...go to Alto Vista Church. Its on the path from the coast, very old and very much a solitude you will find there. Over looks the rocky coast all alone. A real "collect your thoughts kind of place" Great photo's. Check out where the natual bridge use to be,,a smaller one exists today. All the rock formations. Ask Local's about history . Ask about anything..its that friendly. You'll be back for this reason..I'm sure. Ostrich farm and by all means take one of the snorkling tours..Mi Dushi or Jolly Pirate to see what this beautiful coast has to educate you with on its coast.. such wonders...from tropical to volcanic to desert. Rent a vehical. Each town is very different as well...You'll love it. Going for 11 yrs. We just relax now and absorb it all..Everyone for the most part speaks like 4-5 languages. So no problem...they except American $$$ no problem. You can find most everything from home ..if you want it. The water is purified there..no problem..Ocean is hipnotic..Its that good. Hell , need I go on... enjoy!!!

Re: Questions about Aruba

Saskia,
While the Marriott is a good place to be, you are not embarking on a Marriott vacation - you are headed on a vacation that is on Aruba and will be staying at the Marriott. the difference will only be realized if you open yourself up to all the experiences that the island has to offer.

Have a great time on Aruba at the Marriott.

be well

Re: Questions about Aruba

Hi, you chose such a great hotel. I'm sure u wil love it there and u will no doubt come back. In generally the marriot ocean club has so many great things to do, great stores in there and especially the Coconut trading, u must deffinitly eat at champions wich is in the ocean club itself. The ocean club is located right on the beach so u will swim a lot and there are pleny of watersports in that area, u just have to try them out especially the PARASAIL!!
4 days are quite short but u will have plenty to do. U must deffinitly eat at the flying fishbone eventhough it's on the other side of the island that's 20 minutes away it is so romantic and try the fishplatter. U should deffinitly take a day and take a safari tour with the palm tours u will get to know the island and you will see how beyond Aruba really is. I would recommend you to eat at Blossoms wich is located in the West Inn hotel very very nice and good food, it's japanese chinese veryy good! YOu will have so much fun going on the MI dushi or The JOlly Piretes Catamar, u will spend half a day sailing and stopping by the best diving spots and also dive by the shipwreck very cool, u wll have aruban cocktail on board and nice music and snacks! U will enjoy! I recommend u try before u leave the drink, ArubaAriba.
Well I sure hopu u enjoy ur vacation, I live on the island if there are anything else u would like to know please just contact mi at edeline89@hotmail.com, I would be more then glad to anwswer any questions.
