Aruba is generally dry in April but the last time we went on island, there was still the noseeums problem for two of the four of us. If you're susceptible to bug bites, I'd recommend bringing a deet-based bug spray anyway.

We were contemplating bringing some citronella candles for the patio of the house we rented - I think we will!
We rent at Villa at Tierra del Sol and like to sit by or in the pool at night. I bring these "bug Sticks" that I light. Kind of like incense. Coleman makes them and I get them at Target in the camping section. I found that trying to keep a candle lit, even in a glass sconce, is tough in the Aruba wind. Plus, I don't like have that flame dancing around. They are formed on a wooden stick so we stick them in the ground. They work really well.

I'm from CT and have never heard of Bullfrog mosquito spray. Where might I find it? Every year my legs get majorly bitten by the noseeums at night for some reason. By the end of our trip I look like I have some sort of disease. I'm the only one in our group of (6) that is bitten! Sometimes the off just doesn't work. We are going next month and would appreciate the info. Thanks, Janice

We've been going to Aruba for over twenty years...I "lurk" a lot, but this time I had a "useful thought"!

they have the bullfrog at target, although if you are up north the stores may not be carrying those kind of products in the dead of winter.
    check amazon and drugstore.com

i was in target today and here in fla Bullfrog is on the shelves.
the Coleman bug sticks repellant is not available.

Fortunately we've never had a problem with Mosquitos while in Aruba. We do have problem with black flies (noseeums) at our camp in NH. I used to get huge painful welts now I use Avon Skin So Soft and haven't been bitten in years.

Amazon has the bug sticks bet they would have Bullfrog or Avon stuff as well
