Re: RADDISON BLUES ??

Mike, We're doing exactly the same thing after the last 3 years at the Hyatt! It's been a great property with wonderful staff....but time for a change. My wife will miss the Hyatt lobby, but it was her decision to change. We usually go in July or August.

Last trip we took the time to visit the Radisson in more depth. The desk clerk we talked to allowed us an opportunity to tour one of the guest rooms in the tower....WOW! what a nice upgrade! We wouldn't do anything but the tower after staying at the Hyatt. We're actually saving $400 over last years trip!

The restaurant choices seem to be fewer, but we love the Sunset Grille. The casino seems as good, but not quite as nice decor as the Hyatt...decor doesn't matter if I win! I think there are more palapas (sp?) on the beach. The grounds are as nice and the pools appear to be great!

I think you made a good decision. Let me know how it worked out! cj

Re: RADDISON BLUES ??

Can I ask if you enjoyed the Hyatt. Have a 3 & 5 year old and not sure if we should stay at the Radisson or the Hyatt. Need help as I have to make a decision. Want to stay for New Years Eve.

Any info is appreciated.

Re: RADDISON BLUES ??

In my opinion, the Raddison is the best hotel to stay at!! My husband and I love it and we'll never stay anywhere else when traveling to Aruba. The grounds of the Radisson are the most expansive in the high rise section. The staff is so accomodating, rooms are wonderful and the beach and pools are of course, perfect!! It's great to lay on the beach and be served food and drinks. They have a nice casino, great martini bar and you must dine at the Sunset Grille. You can not go wrong by staying at the Radisson. Have a great time!!

Re: RADDISON BLUES ??

The Raddison has a zero entry pool which may make it easier for your young children. The Hyatt has a waterslide that your 5 yr old may like if he's daring (its big). There is also Camp Hyatt, but your 5 yr old may need to be older. Either choice is great. My travel agent pushed the Raddison more since it was a better value. You can't go wrong with either.

Re: RADDISON BLUES ??

My wife and I loved the Hyatt, but I
must tell you we have never been to Aruba during "high" season.
The place is stunning and you will not be
dissapointed.
We dont have kids so Im not sure about kids
programs or not, but hey with that beach,
sand castles for hours will work.
Supposedly, its tough to get a beach hut
or spot by the pool, but we never had a problem.
wait until you see this place !!!
We are staying at the Raddison in May and we are happily nervous as to what we see.

Re: RADDISON BLUES ??

Radisson has a zero entry pool which might be good because your kids are so little. I always stay at the Hyatt I like the look and feel of it better than the Radisson. My kids are 7 and 10 and they love the big water slide at the Hyatt as well as the daily bingo games. I don't think you would go wrong at either place and the Mariott is nice as well.

Re: RADDISON BLUES ??

I don't understand what a "zero" entry pool is, can you explain...

I am wondering if I'll have a hard time telling both my children you are too young to go on the slide and being by the pool will be more greef than relaxation.

Has anyone used sitters? Any recommedations?

Thanks to all who replied, info appreciated.

Kirsten
