Radisson or Hyatt?

My husband and I are scheduled to stay at the Hyatt on 8/22. We stayed here three years ago for our honeymoon and loved it. Unfortunately, we have been reading so many negative things about the renovation disturbances online and are thinking about changing our hotel to the Radisson to avoid the jackhammer noise, etc. We have called into the Hyatt to get more details about the progress they are making, but they are not being incredibly helpful. Does anyone have some insight about the differences between the two hotels? Has anyone been to the Hyatt lately? Any help would be appreciated!

Re: Radisson or Hyatt?

We just came back from honeymoon and stayed at Hyatt. we were not bothered at all by construction. When we checked in, they had some problem with the room next door so they upgraded us to the regency club. We didn't even complain. The hyatt is the nicest hotel from what I saw and we had no problems with the construction. Some regulars were disappointed not seeing the beautiful lobby but, they quickly got over it. Honestly, there were no problems. Some noise, but not enough to wake us or hear it from pool or beach.

Re: Radisson or Hyatt?

I just got back from Aruba July 6th. We were supposed to stay at the Hyatt, but switched to the Radisson because we heard there was a lot of construction. We went over to the Hyatt, and the whole lobby was torn up, and the shops were all closed. I can tell you that there were not many people at the Hyatt, so if you do decide to stay there, you won't be bothered with crowds. The Radisson is beautiful,I love the pools there. Keep in mind that if you end up in the Curacao tower like we did, you are going to have just as much noise because of the construciton next door at the Aruba Grand. I would recommend requesting a room in the Aruba tower if you go with the Radisson.
