rainy in November??

I am getting married mid- November, and I am considering Aruba for my honeymoon. I read on this site that November is the rainiest month (4.6 in)- any advice?

Re: rainy in November??

That's an average rainfall. might not happen. Other islands average 5 to 9 inches that month. Go for it.

Re: rainy in November??

November is the rainy season in Aruba. My daughter was there for 6 days last November and it rained for 5. That was very unusual because of Ivan that changed the history of rain for Aruba. Is it over, yes I think so but would I plan a wedding in November I would consider another month if possible.

Re: rainy in November??

We have been spending the month of November on the island for over twenty years and only had a problem once in 1999 when Hurricane Lenny passed by. We had two days of rain and it didn't ruin our vacation as we went shopping and to the movies.

Re: rainy in November??

We were in Aruba as first-timers this past November -- 6 nights -- and it rained (at times poured buckets) more during that period than we saw sunshine.

However, we were told this was NOT a typical November in Aruba; rather, a result of very weird and changing weather patterns after last fall's storms in the region that did incredible damage to other countries and islands. Aruba was not so much "lucky" in that respect, but we were told that Aruba rarely GETS the damaging weather other places do! That's one main reason our travel agent recommended Aruba !!!!!

Not really sure what to believe about November rains, but I'll tell you this: we WILL get back to Aruba when we can afford it, but I think we will definitely try for a different time of the year !!!!
