    ?? Ratland ??

We drove past Ratland a number of times while in Aruba.
It appeared to be closed and to the right of the building was a large for lease sign.
We were unsure if the for lease sign was for the Ratland Bldg.

Also......is Busters still in that building ....in the back ?
We looked for a sign for Busters but could not find one.

    Hey there....
Yeah, unfortunately Ratland is no more, HOWEVER, the same gent that was running Ratland is now running a shop by the Paseo Herencia Mall called Nun-K.
Same type of stock, rocker/greaser/biker stuff for the ladies and gents. Much smaller space, but much more economical, I would have to think, for the owner.

Wow, imagine that, a question about Ratland being answered by Mr. Ratt... coincidence or what?

There is office space for rent on the second floor of the Ratland building. I do believe that the name may get changed soon. Buster's is in the back and has a great buffet for Sunday football games. The tattoo and clothing store are gone and a new convenience store will be going in. The rebuild is under way now. Not sure on the opening date for that. . . . New owners of the building are making some changes. . . .

No, I'm not the owner, but the owner and I are old friends. I've known him since he had Underground Cycles, the custom bike and car and kulture klothing shop on Irasquin Blvd. I'm sure if you've been going to the island a few years you'll remember it. It was in a strip mall beside Leslie Optica and a real estate agent, a bit before the Tamarijn on the right hand side before that odd left turn corner.
He expanded and moved to the Ratland premises a while back, sold the shop and all that went with it then opened up a new shop, the aforementioned Nun-K.
From what I hear and have seen, things are doing A-Okay there. A large-ish publication on the island did a feature on him when the shop opened, looked pretty impressive, though I really had to fight to get through the papiamento...
