A friend and I areg going to Aruba next week, and the forecast has me very concerned. We selected Aruba b/c it supposedly never rains this time of year, but the forecast predicts rain every day of our trip -- every day this month, in fact. What exactly do they mean by "scattered" showers? Is it raining five minutes out of the day right now, or every five hours? Is it cloudy or is there sunshine?
It can shower at one end of the island and not the other as well as on one side of the road and not the other. Showers usually do not last long and watch those clouds because you can get burnt right through them. There is always a chance of a shower but the tradewinds keep the clouds moving if there are any. We just got back from several days of extremely hot temperatures and not one drop of rain so go and enjoy yourself.
We were just there last week. It rained just about everyday we were there, but only for about 5 minutes at a time. On one day it poured for about and hour, then was super sunny and hot the rest of the day. The tradewinds were gone most of our trip so it was HOT and VERY HUMID! Just take a dip in the beautiful water in you'll be fine!
Don't be discouraged by the forecast. When we were in Aruba in May, we watched the weather forecast and it showed rain for several days! It did not rain the entire time we were there!
We also went to Aruba in September and it rained on a few occasions. The showers quickly passed and the sun came out.
We just got back from two weeks in Aruba, and it rained twice during the day for about an hour each time. Other than that, it was partly cloudy to mostly sunny, and the occasional cloud is a nice break from the strong sun. Don't worry - the weather's great as long as the trade winds are blowing (they were a little slow our first week, so it got stuffy at times)! Enjoy!

That is their normal forcast. It will not rain for 5 days straight at this time of the year. You may get a shower for a couple of minutes during the day or at night. Not to worry. You will have a great time.
hey kelly...
nah, i just got back yesterday from a week in aruba, and it rained twice, for literally 5 minutes each time. no worries, they usually mean it may shower, but only for a few minutes, that's it.
