we stay for about 18 days. I bring about 4 or 5 interchangeable bottoms (skirts, shorts) and tops. Then I wash about 3 or 4 times. We only do carry on. We do check two boxes of things like shampoo, coffee, etc since we have free baggage each but don't have to bring it home (nothing is worse than Newark Airport's baggage carousel). We pretty much have it down to a science as far as clothes. As Andrea said, bathing suits I do bring more of since you're in them all day. My problem is I take more handbags (wristlet/clutch type) and more shoes than clothes. But I need to keep our packing light because I do shop, shop and shop again in Aruba. Love it!!! Need the room to bring back my goodies.....

    Gaby,
What type of box do you use and how do you secure or close them? This would be great for sunblock and all the things you mentioned. We never need as much space in our luggage coming home.
Not sure when, but we will be back

When I pack for 3 months I take way too many tops for the day time every year I swear I won't take as many and more evening clothes as I get bored easily. I wish I could condense my packing

    Thanks for the laughs!
Our trips we each bring a suitcase and pack half of each of our clothes in each suitcase just in case one gets lost. The bathing suits and one short outfit each goes in the carry on. I bet we could get away with each of us having a carry on especially just for one week. But when you fly Southwest the baggage is free so why not take advantage of it?!

I would like to try carryon on the next trip but stuff like sun tan lotion, cologne you have to check in.

We could manage with one carry on each for two weeks but when we bring our snorkel gear we need to check a bag. That's where the overpacking starts ;-) At least we put a few bottles of suntan lotion in with the gear. It goes on sale in September and is alot cheaper than purchasing it in Aruba.
I didn't need a third of the things I brought to wear. Will bring one more swimsuit next year. Only brought 3 with me. Fortunately I get a free check in bag on Delta so I even check one of our carry on bags. It's easier going thru immigration.
