Renaissance-All inclusive drinks

There was a post a few weeks ago asking about the All inclusive drink package at the Renaissance. Some have said the booze card has been discontinued due to abuse. We got an e-mail from the Renaissance Reservation Agent on 2 August and she sent us a brochure that quoted the Booze Only and a Breakfast - Booze package as being available. Has anyone stayed there this month and know if the packages that include the Booze cards are still available for purchase at check-in? My husband and I purchased these packages in the past and are preparing for our trip the last week of August. If the Booze cards are gone - we need to pack the Captain!

Re: Renaissance-All inclusive drinks

Kim,
Do not take an old brochure as a guarantee. My wife and I just got back (see Trip Report by GS) and had prepaid for the Bfast and Booze. We made sure it was on our reservation/contract receipt. They honored it but, many employees told us they discontinued that package and haven't seen the cards in a while. No problems using them but a few workers were confused at first. I would call your travel agent and get it in writing or email the hotel directly and bring a print-out. Have a blast!

Re: Renaissance-All inclusive drinks

We used it last summer, but when we tried on July 2 to get the card, we were told it was discontinued due to abuse. Last year we beat the Card's cost. I kept a running total this year and actually saved money by not getting it.
