    Renaissance Island Flamingos

As i manuever around online i see lots of "ooo we gotta get to Ren Island to see the flamingos"

I think to myself "really what am i missing?" I think maybe i just do not apprecite large pink birds, but so many do!!!!

Re: flamingo attraction, the cost is about $100 pp for a day pass (based on availability) if you are not a guest at the Renaissance Marina tower or Renaissance Ocean suites. (As a guest it is included at no additional charge)

It's a thing for me too! Someday I would love to hang out with them. It's just not worth the money for me - $500 (for the 5 in my family) for the day is not worth seeing the pink flamingos live & in person

We did get to see a few flying on the golf course at the Divi property a few years ago - that was a beautiful sight.

We have stayed at the Ren 3 times.. so lots of trips over to the island. I actually prefer to sit on the family side because the flamingos creep me out haha. I hate when they decide to to their walk about on the adult side, I swear they must know I'm scared because I feel like they stop right at me and stare. My husband laughs his head off at me cause he knows I'm panicking inside and don't want to make a scene.

we used to own at the renaissance (when it was sonesta) and love the family side of the island.

the last few times we rented from an owner or interval international trade.

We were lucky enough to attend a wedding there a few years ago and had the private island to ourselves (wedding party and guests) from dusk on. The flamingos were pretty and added to the ceremony as they walked about but as far as paying $99/person to hang out with them for a day? I have better uses for my money. LOL! (But that's just my own personal opinion.) I remember a long time ago when it used to be $25/person....

We have stayed at Renn.several times. We like to sit on the adult side of the private island, where the flamingos hang out, but not because they are there. We just like being away from the kidos. When people mention that they want to spend the day on the island to see the flamingos, I always tell them that they are imported, and have their wings clipped. I would have never paid that much money to go to the island, just to see them, but a lot of people do.

The times I stay at the Ren I usually sit on the family side. Sometimes I walk over to see the flamingo's but most times I don't. I did when I was at the Ren a few months ago. They don't creep me out but how long can you stare at flamingos. For me 2 minutes and I'm done. To pay $99 a person is crazy. For that money I can have myself an amazing dinner with wine or/and champagne at Wilhelmina or Yemanja when downtown and have dollars left over.

I never saw the flamingos in Aruba but first saw them in Vegas (at the Flamingo Hotel) If I am remembering correctly they can get very loud at times. They are very pretty and awesome first time you see them but like many things the "wow" factor goes away pretty quickly when they start making noise. Perhaps the Aruba flamingos are more well behaved, I'd choose Aruba over Vegas if I were a Flamingo
