Rental Cars

I was wondering what car rental service people use when renting a car in Aruba?
Do you book it ahead of time ( say through Expedia) or do you do it right there in the airport?
Which one is the best to use?

We were just looking to get a small car for the week, to go exploring, and save on all the cab fee's

Thanks!

Re: Rental Cars

we have always rented from Econo, we book right through this web site.
In the upper right hand corner where there is a link, put in transportation and all the car dealers will show up.

Re: Rental Cars

Sarah - www.tropiccarrent@setarnet.aw ( Hans ) is his name. Super Service - he is at the airport waiting for you to arrive ( even if your late ) and is their when you depart. Fast and friendly. A straight shooter. Don't wait to book, because he might be booked up. Good Luck and have a Safe trip.<BigPapa>

Re: Rental Cars

we usually rent from ECNO and go to their webite www.ECNO.com. it works for us. We do it in advance as we go in a busy time of the year. It works out well for us. Sharon

Re: Rental Cars

We've used amigo and econo in the past and have been very happy with both of them. Booked the cars from their websites, then picked them up at the airport when we arrive in Aruba. Drop the cars off at the airport on the day we leave.

Re: Rental Cars

Do not use Thrifty. Their cars are old and run down. They also charge $85 for road hazard damaged tires. Their customer service is terrible. I will do all I can to help put them out of business in Aruba.
