Rest of the trip report
Wednesday we awoke to spend the day at the beach. We rested, drank lots of water to rehydrate and looked forward to the KukuKanooku Bus. It was a lot of fun, we had the champagne toast at the lighthouse, dinner at the Amabassador's House, and onto a couple of bars (local ones) That was the most fun part. Last time I went we did not do Carlo's and Charlie's. This time we did. Too many kids. (20's) would have prefered to stick with the local bars. But again the night was still fun. We danced, and had a blast at the two bars. Last stop was Grammy's karaoke bar. Fun, but we werent there long enough, but we had all had a full day on Tues and were tired anyway. So Thursday/Friday werent spent on the beach with some of the group coming and going for walks, shopping the hotel shops, getting lunch, snacks and shopping downtown. Lots of jewelry purchased (rings, bracelets) The dinners were great. The best raves were for Madame Janette's & AMazonia & Texas de Brazil. We also hit an Italian restaurant la Dolce I think, the French Steakhouse. The Palms, Moomba's Beach . No one complained too much aabout the food. A few thought it was just OK> at some places. There was a different group going to all these restarurants throughout the week
WE hit the DePalm Pier again Friday nite for a replay with the Equator Band, and they were GREAT once again. That band ROCKS.. I think everyone hit the casino's again for one last time. A few winners no huge hits. (few hundred or so) but happy people!! Left for the airport early 9:30am to spend about 2 1/2 hrs in line to get to the gate 1 1/2 hrs ahead of flight. But a great time was had by all. Beach cannot be beat, and the weather was perfect all week. Sorry we had to leave "one happy island" Already looking forward to another trip whenever that will be!!!!
