Re: restaurant recomendation

Flying Fishbone is THE most romantic restaurant on Aruba. You'll dine under the stars right on the beach. The food is fantastic, the service excellent and the atmosphere is romantic and very relaxed. Shorts and a collared shirt are perfectly acceptable. They even have a place at the table for you to hanng your sandals. Even the waiters go barefoot there !! Flying Fishbone is in Savneta about half way between Oranjestad and San Nicolas. Be sure to request a table for two by the water's edge. We just happened to get one by chance and it's the only way to go. Good luck with the little surprise....if you take her to Flying Fishbone you're in for sure :-)

PS-order the smoked salmon appetizer !!

Marandi is a very nie romantic restaurant. Flying Fishbone is also a great place especially if you rent a car. Pinchos is right on the Pier, very pretty place, food is good too.

Re: restaurant recomendation

Taxi to Flying Fishbone is $42 round trip. More or less. Madame J's better and $16 by cab. Sit outside and you will not beat the quality of food. Getting served by barefooted waiters doesnt impress me and neither does sitting at the edge of water running over yoiur feet.

Cab and dinner with a few drinks each at least $125 big ones! Worth it?????

Re: restaurant recomendation

Sitting outside, open to water and/or area is real nice. It has a draw back we experienced however. If you get a little breeze after the sun sets and you haven't eaten yet, you wont enjoy your dinner. It gets chilly being near the ocean and food cools super quick. Possibly a lot of people haven't had this experienced but we did.
I was without a sweater and before we even got started the meal was warm at best. Just a thought. I think this is another reason Mad. Jen's is so popular, and they also have great reconizable music there.
Try it, and let us know how you make out. Expensive by cab also.
