Restaurants - Good or Bad!

I just figured since we did a beware topic of restaurants why not do one that we like! I'm not quite sure how many times we've been to Aruba but it's alot and not enough of course.
Restaurants that we really enjoy are:
Japengo (Hyatt) - We have tried almost all of the entrees and they are delicious!

The Palms (Hyatt) Great for lunch, great selection but even better their Mt. Saint Sundae (which we now eat for lunch because it is huge) is out of this world!

Champions (Marriott Ocean Club) great bar food and their pizza is really good

Iquana Joes (Downtown) Awesome Cheesburgers

Villa Germania (Downtown) Great Breakfast, big portions, awesome homemade bread

Texas de Brazil (across from Playa Linda) We liked it much better than Amazonia

Hostaria di Vittoria (across Hyatt) some things are really good and some just okay. It was alot better when it first opened.

Cafe Baci (Wyndham) Basic Italian Food - Good and not too pricy

Blossoms (Wyndham) Chinese/Japanese - We had the Japanese and it was good

Sunset Grille (Radisson) We had steak and it was excellent

El Gauchos - Overall very good but, we have gone a couple of times and it was just okay!

Madame Jeanettes - YUMMY

Flying Fishbone - We did not like at all. Alot of people like it but, we had a very bad experience.

Tango - We had meat it was very good!

Sole Mare - Great food, good portions.

Bella Luna - Okay, it was better about 5 years ago

Also, there is a little bagel place at Playa Linda (I can't remember the name right now) we go for breakfast they have good pancakes and it is nice to sit outside on their patio.

There are many more we ate at. But, they are just okay or I can't remember them right now. I'd love to here what everyone else likes and dislikes.
Oh, I really cannot wait to go back!

Re: Restaurants - Good or Bad!

Except for two, I personally like your recommendations.
Hostaria De Italiano is a major rip off. Their dinners are very expensive and they actually have nerve charging for a side order of spagetti with any meal you might order. Everything other than the basic meal ordered is a side order.
Order a $30.00 veal dish and a side of spagetti is $8.00 ????

Igunana Joes charges you for bread as a side order no matter what dinner you select.
I overheard a customer arguing with the waitress for charging him extra for bread with a $21.00 filet dinner. Also a glass, small glass, of white or red wine is $6.95!
They use the cruise ship customers as their money winners. PS: Smokey Joes also has dynamite Cheese Burgers.

Re: Restaurants - Good or Bad!

Bucaneers is our favorite . We love the owner (chef) his son , (host) the Staff and the food is always good , good portions , and the price is right . They are like family and treat you really well . The atmosphere , with the aquariums , around the room , are wonderful . Very romantic.!!!!
