Re: Rethinking Holiday Inn-Please Help!

The Holiday Inn has taken a beating since the disappearance. They no longer have the buffet out at the outside bar at night. Which we really missed. Food was not good at all. one God sent is MOST the bartenders are great. Rooms are not good at all. Ours was full of mold, air kinda worked (my parents were in the new part and they moved three times and finally gave up on trying to find a room with AC). Took away the local vendors who use to come on Friday night to sell their goods. Cleaning staff was pushy for a tip. Love the location on Palm Beach but spend a little more for a different place, you won't regret it.

Re: Rethinking Holiday Inn-Please Help!

WE STAYED AT HOLIDAY INN IN MAY AND NOVEMBER. THE OTHER RESTAURANTS ARE JUST FINE. WE STAYED IN THE NEWLY RENOVATED WING. OUR ROOM WAS CLEAN, NICELY FURNISHED AND MAID WAS WONDERFUL AND DID NOT HAVE HER HAND OUT FOR A TIP. THE RESORT HAS LOVELY BEACH, LOVELY POOL AND A LOVELY FRIENDLY STAFF.

Re: Rethinking Holiday Inn-Please Help!

I am leaving tomorrow for my sixth trip to Aruba (and will be 4th time staying at Holiday Inn). I have had no problems whatsoever with anything at the resort. The Aruba tower was just recently renovated with new paint, bedding, draperies, etc. and I hear they are now working on B-tower. Stayed twice in Curacao tower and although it wasn't as nice as the newly redone Aruba tower, it was adequate for me....I don't spend much time in the room anyhow. As a matter of fact, I just heard the other day that the Seabreeze restaurant is now open again at night, every night, and I think they are bringing back the buffet on the beach on Monday night (they had it this past Monday). HI has been under new management, and I think they're finally coming around. Hey L. Cohan, you are mistaken....the HI has NOT taken a beating since the disappearance, they are still booked as usual. If anything, all the hotels have slowed a little due to fuel prices, etc., not just the HI. Anyway, I LOVE IT THERE!! Best Beach and bartenders around!!!!
