Room requests. what is the best way to approach this with resort. thanks

When we booked through our travel agent, I asked her to put in a request for the 1900-2100 block, second floor, a refrigerator and a safe. She wasn't sure if we could get this. When we arrived, the Tam had us booked in the 1900 building and everything else that we asked for. We did ask this in Jan. and our vacation wasn't until July. i don't know how far in advance you need to request. Had a great time there, and really loved our room.

My husband stayed in room 2515 for our honeymoon in 2004 and went again in 2005 and wanted the same room b/c it's on the end
I went through a travel agent and she made the "request" for me and said nothing was for certain but we did get the room we wanted....I'm not sure there is a guarantee but you can always ask......

I've stayed at the tam 8 times and have always had room requests honored everytime!

which room would you suggest? We have two teenagers. How is the beach in front of 1600 block? Thanks for any info.
