    school year

    Hi all,
Does anyone know when the schools will reopen next August? I haven't had any luck using Google for a search.

    Thanks

Schools on Aruba used to end in early July and re-open in early September. Now however the schools there close the third week of June and re-open the third week of August. They do get a break for a week or two in October.

I found a link (in German) which shows all the public Holidays for 2016 (banks etc closed) and shows the school year as well.

According to that link here are the dates for the summer school vacation, it points out to double check the dates.
IMO, it's weird that school vacation starts on a Thursday (June 9) and ends on a Wednesday (August 17):

    Sommerferien (Anfang) - Donnerstag 9 Juni, 2016

    Schulferien (bitte überprüfen) :

    Sommerferien (Ende) - Mittwoch 17 August, 2016

    Schulferien (bitte überprüfen) :

European school holidays differ greatly by country. In many countries it's only six weeks. In France, however, it's almost two months. In Spain two and half months. In Italy even more.

Here is an interesting link, on the left side are many countries where you could look up their school holidays:
