Security questions

How safe are the timeshare rooms? Does CPV have security?

Re: Security questions

We are at the Aruba Beach Club and we have great security...camera's outside...guards...but still keep you doors locked and your $$ in your room safe...some people are "crazy" enough to leave their doors open on the 2nd flr. onto the balconies..and if the guards see that they call your room and make sure you close them and keep them locked...I think the time-shares take extra measures for their guests..

Re: Security questions

Debs,
Leenie is very much on target. Even though it is safe here, it is even safer when you take precautions. Also the timeshares do have a bit more of a personal touch when it comes to member security.

Re: Security questions

we were there in november and the security was great, at dutch village there were security people all over the place and the aruba police high visibility teams were everywhere on all terrain vehicles. we felt very safe but felt that way everytime we visited. this time we rented a phone from charles and what a blessing that was. it gave us even more security besides the wonderful convenience of being able to call anyone from anyplace we were in the event of an emergency. thanks charles, your great. we also took precautions of locking our valuables in the room safe and not carrying valuables to the beach.

Re: Security questions

Marty -

Security isn't a concern on aruba. It's the safest place on earth.

However, if you're looking to rent a phone, I suggest joining http://www.discountclub-aruba.com

19 cents per minute to the US, free 5 days phone rental (maybe 7 - not sure) if you join.

I don't work for them - honest. I know the owner for other reasons, and if I didn't already have an Arubian cel, or already live here, I'd do it (the rental) myself.

I'm getting married here in Jan, and all of my family and guests will be using them.
