    sending things to aruba

Hi- does anyone know anything about sending things to aruba? I sent a small package of things to my friends in Pos Chiquito and they told me it was going to cost them about $18 USD to get it from the post office...........can anyone give me some place to find info on mailing and receiving things in aruba?

Sounds like FEDEX is the way to go sending a package to Aruba

Your friend probably had to pay Customs or Duty on the package, depending on what was in it. The same thing will happen if you use Fedex, UPS or DHL. Every package has to go through Aruban Customs and if anything valuable is in the package they must pay this fee.

I am unsure about any duty free zone, but I have sent quite a few packages and they collect on each package. You are supposed to supply the packing slip or some certification of value then they add the duty.
