Where is the best shopping? went to Oranjestad last time I was therebut was not impressed. anything better?
i like local hadicrafts and name brands like Coach- Louis,david Yurman, etc.

Coach, Gucci, Fendi, etc., are all located in town.

Are you comming out of Miami? Thought I would ask since a friend of mine is called Larrain and she is comming to Aruba from the Miami area.

There are a couple of places to buy handicrafts on the island. Most of this is paintings and sculptures or clay work. Be fvery careful because Aruba has a limited amount of art and handicraft production and the large percentage of what is sold to tourists is made in the orient. Sad huh??

We have GUCCI, HILLFIGER, HUGO BOSS, FARRAGAMO and several other good brand names on the island. If you are a brand name person, your wishes will not suffer at all.

Where specifically are the designer stores? I did not see them onmy last trip in November.

The designer stores are located in the mall attached to the Renaissance on LG Smith Blvd. Gucci, Ferragamo and Kenneth Cole are located in the back of the mall and a block away.

Little Switzerland had a nice supply of David Yurman stuff and they also have Tiffany's there.

i buy art work every year in aruba... a girl names michelle has a display at the playa linda right on the path... and she is also at the hyatt some mornings... she is not the artist... but the paintings are just beautiful...ive bought from a few different ones..the name is gone troppo...i have these pictures in my houe and what compliments i get on them...its just a wonderful reminder of one of my favorite destinations... check it out if your in the market for some art work... as for shopping i swear by red sail sports at the hyatt and the one on the beach between the allegro and the hyatt... i guess they are all great... i buy so much there every year.. so enjoy and happy shopping...!!!

Once you've been through the mall stores at the Renassance in town, go out the back toward the town square and head down the Main Street - it's got everything you want, from top-of-the-line international designers all the way down to tourist junk. Even a drugstore (cheaper than the shop at your resort). Lots to see!
