Re: Silly? but sharks in the sea?

There is no shark feeding on Aruba. only the story about shark feeding.

Yeah there are sharks around aruba, but not in the shallow and warm waters.

Yeah i've seen them while diving around the island. But you have to be lucky to see them

Shark Feeding

I went on a tour bus excursion in Aruba in the late 90s and we were driven to the North side of the island and it was pointed out where the dead animals and remains of animals slaughtered on the island were fed to the sharks. Yes...... there were plenty of sharks to be seen. This info came 1st hand from the Tour Director on the bus.

Just an FYI from a few years ago.

Thumbs up

>>>> "We have had no problems with sharks, wildlife, or people while in Aruba."
---- Warning about wildlife. There are some pretty little yellow birds that will try to steal sugar and jelly off your table if you are outside eating.

I just asked a native born Aruban about this "story" not more than a month ago. He said that yes the sharks are predominantly on the eastern side of the island, but now, the sharks are not fed anywhere along the coastline of the entire island.
