Can you use Skype to make calls home from Aruba?
Any advice will be appreciated

We do all the time. No problems with our strong connection at the Amsterdam Manor.

Computer to computer = FREE
Computer to phone = about 3 Cents a minute
Comuter to 1-800 #s = Free

Agree, have had no problems at all using SKYPE in Aruba.

Yes. We used Skype video this summer, but you can also open a small cash account and use it to make phone calls, domestic or international. At least that is what the website says. Since we also had a cell phone with a Setar SIM card, we used that for regular calls home.

We Skype computer to computer and it works fine....

we used it a lot this past trip.

reception was very good.

saved our lives when we has airline cancellation and we had to rebook.
i was on hold forever and since it was an 800 number it cost nothing.
if i was on the aruba cell phone (even thought the number was 800) it would have cost...
lots. i was on hold with american, on the morning of the 25th for well over an hour.

I skyped from PBV last Feb. and it worked great. We had a great reception.
