You are probably speaking a foreign language to most people when you speak about "proxies"

I have a sling box and a sling catcher at my house here in Aruba. The sling box allows me to view anything from my son's tv in the states on my computer. The sling catcher allows me to view his tv in the states on my tv here in Aruba. I love it. I can watch the Red Sox on Nesn and the local news. I have had it about 3 years. It is very simple to hook up. If I can do it, anyone can do it. You do need an internet connection. I would be lost without it. Mine works great.

We don't watch that much tv in Aruba but were really surprised at the cable channels we did get while down there. Heck, we even watched HGTV. NYC news channels and YANKEE GAMES . All I needed!
