Slow boat to China?

It's going to be 2 months soon when I was in Aruba and my lady friend has not received my 3 post cards I sent her.

Mark S - That's about right. I would think she should be getting them tho - Mail coming in to Aruba does ok - but out it's VERY slow - I know they are trying to do better at this.<BigPapa>

Re: Slow boat to China?

If you sent them by conventional mail, it may not happen in your lifetime and... if it does, it just may turn out to be a collectors item.

Mail here isn't slow. Slow is acceptable.

be well

Re: Slow boat to China?

Postcards are notoriously slow the world over. My parents send them all the time, and every time they beat them back. Just recently, they sent postcards from Portland, ME to Worvester, MA and they took over a week.

Re: Slow boat to China?

Did you use the Aruba stamp or the USA stamp?
Many tourist use the USA stamp which is no good for the outgoing Aruba mail.

Re: Slow boat to China?

I sent postcards from Aruba to Germany in Oct 2004, the first one arrived about 1 month later. The other one arrived a week before my 2nd trip to aruba, March 2005!
