Re: SMOKES?

we bring 2 cartons every year and there is never a problem. we pack them in our suit case, then buy a few more cartons in the duty free shop on the way there.

Re: SMOKES?

JOHN,

Just my opinion, start with two cartons one in checked luggage & keep 1 carton with you at all times, put this in the carry on. This will provide for your immediate needs like, on the way to the airport -thats a pack right there, outside the airport, figure maybe 1/2 pack or if you're really lucky a smoking area INSIDE the airport, another pack and a half. If you have a layover you may get additional smoking opportunities, depending on time, allow for at least three packs.
OK, now as any experienced smoker knows you've got to monitor your burn rate like a NASA shuttle commander. At this point you could easily be shy of 1/2 carton on your person and you my friend are getting dangerously low and need to take quick action. Take advantage of the duty free shop and reload with at least TWO fresh cartons.
You should arrive at the happy island with a solid 3.5 cartons. If you are staying for a week this would give you stabilized burn rate of just under 5 packs a day, no reserves- so take it easy. Have a great vacation.

L and Clear.

If I go to the USA with 1000 Aruban Marl... or Camel, you name it, no POS in the USA can expect a sell. Do not do to your brother what you do not want him to do to you. This is a vacation man, you are suposed to left a dollar on a friendly island.

Re: SMOKES?

What's your opinion of Antigua v. Aruba? Almost went there but went with Aruba (3rd time -- three more weeks) instead. Right choice?

Re: SMOKES?

Hi Renee! Just got back from our first vacation to Antigua last week. We stayed at the St. James Club. Antigua is a much more beautiful island that Aruba. Very lush, tropical, mountains, etc. As we have been going traveling to Aruba (each year) since 1992, personally, it is still our absolute favorite!! In my opinion, you absolutely made the right choice. Have a wonderful time!!
