David, thanks again for your response. Can you tell what will be done at the pool exactly? Will there be jackhammers and big machinery and a lot of noise lifting up the tiles, concrete, etc? How bad will the construction noise be? What hours during the day will the construction start and end? How about the restaurant next to the pool for lunch and the pool side bar, will they still be open or not? Thanks for any information!

since all seems to be well in orbitz/westin "land", i am closing the thread.

there have been private messages exchanged and all i am going to say is their "alleged discussions" have been taken offline.
