SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT

Been thinking about posting this for a while but held off to avoid problems. Time has passed and I can now pass this on in hopes that it will be taken in the light it is intended.

It seems as if the more we modernize our technology that the more possibilities there are to miss use it at inappropriate momments. The followng is something to think about.

Without going into details, there is a Mexican motif bar/restaurant on Aruba where the crowd is encouraged to down tequila shooters and dance on the bar and in essence the customer becomes the show and in some cases the spectacle. So far, nothing wrong with that. Kids being kids (I guess) sometimes there is a temptation to lift T-shirts or turn to the audience and lift back of skirts while on the bar dancing. A moon - is a mooon is a moon is a moon. Kind of like a scene on "WILD ON E". I feel relatively sure that this is done with the thought in mind of "Oh heck - I am far away from home and who will ever know". Add to this fun momment the element that cell phones have cameras and those images are transferable to other cell phones and computers - or can be down loaded to the internet.

In my opinion, there is no sense in making a momment (innocent as it might be) turn out to be something that might haunt you later. This has happened more than once and you would be surprised at the amount of camera phones that the young crowd takes into this particular establishment - in hopes for one of those "Wild On E" momments.

What would I tell my daughter if she was going there?? Have fun, wear slacks and try to remember the original reason for wearing the T-shirt.

I will leave it at that and hope not to relay the impression of being a prude - I am far from it.

By the way, our cell phones do not have cameras.

Guess that's where the term "altered state of consciousness" comes from. People do weird stuff when they've had too much alcohol.
Trust me, if I lifted my shirt, the bar would clear! LOLOL

Re: SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT

Been there and seen it done to unexpecting young girls. Seen the bartenders use shots of air to raise skirts. The poor girls don't know what going on until after its too late. The people just hanging around the bar, like myself, are left with completely shocked at what just happened. The girls usually looked embarassed after they are exposed. Don't necessarily think that they know what they are in for.

Re: SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT

Generations change many facets in life. Older values get relaxed and many times completely ignored. As you mentioned, too many words needed to explain certain circumstances. My only hope is Aruba keeps many of it cherished values and it does not become a location where you do not want to leave your resort at night, especially with teens or younger.
I always kept this statement handy:
You dont have to be drunk to act or drive drunk! Alcohol can erase years of good up-bringing and result in many simply and very serious problems.
As in gambling, if you dont know when to stop your going to get right on the path of destruction.
Letting it "ALL" hang out on a vacation is commonplace everywhere. Thats why certain restrictions and regulations at some resorts
is good. Then people can go what ever suits their needs and requirements.
