I heard that Spirit was going to start flying to Aruba.
Does anyone know if this is true?

Just got back from 13 fabulous days and cant wait to return pics to follow soon!

Tony, Just curious, where did you hear that from. I know their destinations are very limited, but that would be awesome if they started service to Aruba! We need to fly from Providence or Boston -- do you know if they are considering these two departure cities? Please post if you hear any news! So glad your vacation was wonderful, but, isn't it always when Aruba is the destination!!

where and when did you hear this? A major airline would have to be contracted to be a carrier.

At our Timeshare owners meeting it was brought up that Spirit is going to start within a year. Connecting in Ft Lau. FL, but that was all they knew.

I thought that Spirit is one of the subsidiaries of Delta....that would give them a lane into Aruba. We are leaving in 14 days, 16 hrs. and 35 minutes...(not that I am counting), on Delta. CAN'T WAIT!!

I know that Song (a Div. of Delta) is starting nonstop service from JFK (Sat. departures) sometime near the end of July and I think the fare is around $500 roundtrip. Haven't heard anything about Spirit though.

Just went on TNT vacations today 4/25/05. Looking for flights in October from Boston to aruba direct. $332 direct flights!!!!
