    the 420 reference..
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/420_(cannabis_culture)

    420 is weed.

QUOTE=Eagle Beach Boy;223492]Being from Toronto I know the boys know what is up. Just remind them to be aware that they WILL be approched by people to sell them "420".

They will know what I am talking about. [/QUOTE]

Having sons the same age they love the Palm Beach area during the day and night. Perhaps, you might want to come to Moomba beach area and you can rent chairs there (I think they are $5 per day per chair) during the day. There are lots of watersports available and nice beach to walk along. The private island is really nice and quiet but there are no water sports and no beach to walk along. We found for our boys this is what they like to do. They jetski, tube or even waterski.

With respect to the evenings, we go for dinner with our kids and then they go off on their own to the high rise strip (Palm Beach). They wander between hotel casinos, bars, clubs or just some of the hotel lobby's. One idea is to drop them off after dinner and taxi back after they are finished (which I would recommend at night) or bus there and taxi back.

Trikes Aruba has been described on this bb and I think boys of their age would love this and they would also see a tour of the island too. Jolly Pirate is also good but the 3 hour one is sufficient. The private tour or even the bus tour, I would say wouldn't hold that much interest or thrill for boys of that age. That is why the Trike tour is my suggestion.

If you have any more questions, feel free to PM (as in private message me).

Good luck, from another fellow Canadian from Ontario but not Toronto

They just need to be smart about it.even it they are boys My kids were approached to buy different things.. hopefully they stay away... they can have a great time my kids did. They loved the kukoo kunokoo bus they had a ball..

Great tips. Sent an inquiry to Trikes. And we will make sure to use Taxis on return. I assumed Aruba was zero crime, but alas the world has changed. The whole 420 thing is well entrenched in school culture here to. Although one of our sons says, "if they wanna have a smoke dope day, it should be on Marleys birthday not Hitlers". Can't argue that logic I guess

If they would like an opportunity to meet "local" Dutch girls, tell them to visit Arashi Beach in the afternoons. On 2 trips to that beach last month I saw over a dozen young woman there each time. You can rent lounge chairs at Arashi and it's a great place to be anyway. There is a bus stop located at the beach but I have have no knowledge of the schedule.

Arashi is a great place for a cooler filled with beer and a few hours of doing nothing!!!

At Moomba there are two different colored chairs. The white ones you have to rent for the day but the yellow ones are free on a first come first served basis as far as getting some shade is concerned. We like to get there early enough to get yellow chairs under the trees. That way we control how much sun we will get that day.

Wishing you and your family an amazing trip - take lots of pictures . . .

I checked out Trikes on Trip Advisor and stunning great reviews. The promptly answered my inquiry. Unfortunately they Trikes are standard. No Issue for me, I'm a biker, but the boys don't dont drive standard. I think my wife and I will do that while we send the boys on The Jolly Pirate on their own.

That leaves a tour of the Island still not on their agenda. I noted that the Trike Tour does not include Baby Beach. So I'm thinking an SUV rental on another day, or perhaps ATV rentals, and we can knock that one off together.

Thanks for the Tips on Moomba. Too bad they dont have Blue chairs for 35+ only LOL.
