I haven't flown in several years. When taking meds on your trip, do you need the actual prescription bottle? How about vitamins? Can you just dump what you need in one bottle, or will they want to know what each thing is? Like I said, it's been a while.....
My husband & I were in Aruba in November 06.
I had to take medication in case of kidney
stones, which I have alot. This included pain medication. I was told by our state department to take prescription medication in
its original container. Vitamins and over the counter did not need to be in container, but do so if you can for easy pass thru customs. Hope this helped. It was our first time in Aruba, it is wonderful!!
I just carry them in my purse and no one has ever checked them. I take four bottles all the time and cough syrup for asthma. The only time I had a Dr, write a note was when I was on hard core pain killers, but I was never asked about any meds. Theresa
When we travel we alway bring them in original bottles, that way there is no questions. I do however ask my pharmacist for small bottles with labels for travel.
I am like 99 percent sure one bottle is ok. Or better yet buy one of those pill dividers that seperate your pills per day. This way it doesnt look suspicious.
We always carry our meds in their original rx bottles and once my wife didn't take enough of a particular pill and because she had the original bottle, she went over to the pharmacy and they sold her enough to last for the entire trip. We have found it always good to carry our meds in their bottles as they are marked as to what it is. You won't be checked going onto the island but might be on the way home.
