Re: Tam

Good Day!!
Hubby and I have been to the Tam for the past 5 years and love it there!! The rooms are the old Holiday style, with a large doorwall leading right to the beach!! All rooms face the water!! Depending on which building you are in, it's a long walk from the 2100 to the dinning area. Bring your own coffee pot if you drink it in the morn. I bring a 4 cup pot and it has made it each time there and back. The staff can't be beat! Sit and watch the bar staff, nowhere in the States have I seen tenders do what they do!! Be aware, the pace is nice and easy, meals are searved on the easy side. If you have the Mega package, go to the Divi. A must is dinning at the Red Parrot, at the Divi. Book what trips you want to do early, they fill up fast. Gads, do I wish we were going!! guess we have to wait till March to go again. Enjoy!!

Re: Tam

Cliff,

We've stayed at the Tam twice and love it! The food is good, the drinks are even better. the view is absolutely incredible! I’ve read a few reviews on this board that say the drinks are weak! We have never had a bad drink at the Tam! We are hoping to return next spring! Enjoy the laid back atmosphere and have a wonderful trip!!

Re: Tam

Just got back from a week at the Tam. It was our first time in Aruba, so it took us a day to acclimate to the VERY laid-back atmosphere. But once we did, man......what a wonderful island. Can't wait to go back next year!

We lucked up and got a room in the 2100 building on the corner and the bottom floor. It was great........10 steps off of your patio and your on the beach! As stated, it is a little bit of a walk to the dining area. We rather enjoyed our walks to and from the main area..........gives you time to talk and take in the beautiful views. Also it is much quieter and less-cluttered on that end..........just nicer in general down on that end of the beach, for us anyway. If you like it quieter and more secluded, request building 1900 or higher. The Bunker Bar was only about 50 yards away from us, so it's no problem to keep yourself stocked up with drinks. And if you feel that the drinks are weak, just ask them to stiffen it up a bit. They'll pour until you say when!

Food was really good. We thought the Italian restaurant (Paparazzi) was particularly good. Very friendly and helpful staff. All-in-all, a very nice place to stay. Just be prepared for a very relaxed atmosphere. As long as you're not creating a scene or tearing up the place, they really didn't seem to care what you did. Just go and eat, drink, relax and enjoy a great place to stay!

You will have a great time. It is the best place for a fun and relaxing vacation. Say hi to Harold, Jerry, and especially Ruben. Have a drink for us at the Bunker Bar and know that we are soooo jealous right now.

Re: Tam

Hi Cliff!

We just returned TODAY from Aruba! We stayed at the Divi but dined one night at the "Palm Grill" at the Tam...it was EXCELLENT! This is an interactive dining experience where you select your food (beef, chicken, pork loin, shrimp, swordfish) and then cook it right there on your table! It is a stainless steel table and the entire center section heats up and that is where you cook your food. It sounds like work but it really was a fun experience and everyone at the tables around you is cooking their food on their table also...it's hilarious to watch! It's really a neat experience and would highly suggest it to anyone staying at the Tam or Divi!
