Tee time, rental car and ArubaVisitorCard

Hey - I'm feeling really concerned about the lack of information from these particular areas of interest.
More4Less - I sent a reservations request form for a one day jeep rental last week and asked them to confirm to me via email plus I had asked a couple of questions. No response! I sent a follow-up email yesterday and still have no response. Since they have my CC#, plus all of the driver info, am I to assume that they have reserved a car for me for the date requested?

Tierra Del Sol says (through an automated email) that they will confirm tee-times within 48 hours of the request. I've not gotten a confirmation so I followed up with a second email. No response!

I completed an ArubaVisitorCard request form about 1 1/2 months ago (we are leaving for Aruba on May 6th) and have gotten nothing from them, nor has my CC been charged. The VisitorCard was to be mailed to me. I sent a follow-up email today and I can find nothing on their website to help me figure out when the card would be mailed to me (and I don't recall from my initial application what it said).

I am disappointed that companies post email addresses to remedy problem situations, but don't respond to an indivdual's requests!

Without making 3 separate calls to these companies, how do I go about getting the needed information? Have any of you experienced similar problems?!
Thanks.

Re: Tee time, rental car and ArubaVisitorCard

Just returned and the same thing happened to us. None of our reservations were confirmed and our charge cards weren't charged.

We made new reservations as soon as we arrived and made out ok. Next time will call ahead. Don't bother to email.

Friend left today and had the same problem. It must happen often.

Re: Tee time, rental car and ArubaVisitorCard

If they aren't getting the emails, are they getting the reservation requests through their websites? (Obviously Tierra Del Sol did with an automated response)

So - if I arrive in Aruba and cannot get a jeep rental for the day we need it, I'm out of luck?! Seems like a pretty poor plan to me. Also, can I request an Aruba Visitor Card when I arrive and get it in time to enjoy the benefits of it or does it take several days?

Geeeeeeeeeeeeez!

One down - 2 to go.
I got a response from VisitAruba.com about my request for a card. Emails must be working at least part of the time! :-)

Re: Tee time, rental car and ArubaVisitorCard

Hi. We used email to book tee-times for January and ask questions with no problems. I just emailed them about renting a villa and received a reply a day later. Maybe it's in your spam file? It's worth a check.

If it's not, I'd consider calling each place if possible or even faxing them if it's more convenient.

Re: Tee time, rental car and ArubaVisitorCard

I've posted about help for the Aruba Plus Card, and no one's offered any assistance, plus two of my messages have been deleted/not posted.

:-(

*sigh*
