I work for Telus Mobility and bought myself a iphone for this trip (I also have the "shiney red ball syndrome") and we have international voice and text message passes ....voice pass discounts the rate to $2.25 from $3.00 which is a conveinence as I don't plan to call much.... but the text message pass is $20 which discounts rate to .15 per message from .60 per message... these passes are like a subscription and drop of your account after 30 days.

I had them added today as we leave on Friday!! but today I am officially on holidays!!
