Which of these itineraries would you choose and why?

We are debating a trip plan and I want to know what my fellow Aruba lovers would do. We have found 2 trips very similar in price.
Trip 1 less than a month away a studio at the Surf Club or Trip 2 in April at Holiday Inn standard room.

We have stayed at both hotels. My thoughts the are we were just there in November so maybe April breaks up the year a little better.
Pros for Trip 1 include the Lazy River and little kitchenette at Marriott. We can pay to reserve palapas instead of waiting in line. It's only a few weeks away!! It's really cold here.
Pros for trip 2 include not dealing with a timeshare owner so no chance or risk at all. It breaks up the time a little more until we can take our boat out of storage. The island may be a little less crowded? This isn't before or after Easter week.

What are your thoughts? What am I missing?

I would be tempted by the lazy river. That said, I would probably learn towards April because I wouldn't want to worry about a snow storm screwing up my flight. We've been talking about booking something for May because it's quieter. Trying to hold off a few more weeks before booking to see if the Divi runs a sale on February 14th.

    i like both options

if you take option 1, then come April or May you may be saying.........oh, i wish we could go to aruba now and wishing you'd have taken option 2.

So true! We do have a wedding to attend in late April that would keep us occupied. I also remember that we spend less money when we stay at the Surf because there, we spend more time around the pool than walking to the casino.

Good to know! It's April 10-17. Do you about those Regents tests and the big group that comes to the Surf? The Feb week is 22- March 1.

Our school districts plan their spring breaks around Easter. Thanks for the heads up about New England. I didn't realize that.

For me it would depend on when the following trip would be. Only going twice per year we try to space visits as evenly as possible. If one was just over the horizon I'd go with Feb but if it were further in the distance I'd probably opt for April.

I would opt for Surf Club because I don't like the rooms(unless a suite) at HI or their pool area(too little space for the crowds). I also like the pool and lazy river at Surf and the kitchen is a plus. Rather be on Aruba in Feb. rather than April because of the weather here.
